The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) has announced that the inspection of the steel structures at the Olympic Athletic Centre of Athens (OACA) complex is in progress.
Specialized technical personnel conduct inspections on the steel structures and polycarbonate sheets of the structures in OACA. The inspections aim to identify potential issues such as corrosion, paint peeling, problems with welds and bolts, and others on the steel structures, as well as issues with the base supports, waterproof seal, and polycarbonate sheets. The remedial work required for any issues identified will be carried out through a follow on implementation contract.
HRADF issued a separate tender for the preliminary design of the restoration and upgrade works for the surrounding area of OACA. The design will include principles of enhancing green spaces and creating areas for recreation and sports. The implementation contract for the next stages of design and construction will follow the preliminary study.
