Industry Forum for urban transport program in USA

Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) in Florida, USA has announced the Industry Forum to discuss the Ultimate Urban Circulator Program in Jacksonville before the official Request for Proposals. The Forum will happen on 18-20 of February and will discuss partnership opportunities available to develop JTA autonomous vehicle network in Downtown Jacksonville to provide industry leaders with the opportunity to learn more about the U2C and public-private partnership (P3) opportunities available with the JTA.

The forum includes panel discussions featuring some of the industry’s leading experts, along with interactive roundtable discussions and diverse networking opportunities designed to give attendees a clear understanding of the Ultimate Urban Circulator (U2C), procurement, technological and engineering requirements and select information concerning JTA’s AV development program. During the three-day event, participants will have the chance to meet one-on-one with the U2C Development Team and ask specific questions about how the JTA will proceed into 2020 and beyond.

The U2C is a multi-phased program aimed at converting and expanding the automated people mover (Skyway) into an autonomous vehicle (AV) network. By transforming the current Skyway, extending the reach within the urban core through the Bay Street Innovation Corridor and expanding beyond into adjacent neighborhoods, U2C supports the vision of a vibrant, revitalised and better-connected Downtown Jacksonville.

The Industry Forum consists of three events namely:

  1. 18 of February Networking Reception: A View from the Top
  2. 19 of February Let's Talk Ultimate Urban Circulator
  3. 20 of February RFI Respondent Interviews
