National Highway Authorities of India (NHAI) has executed concession agreement for six laning project of Chittoor-Thachur highway. Chittoor Thachur Highway Private Limited, a subsidiary of IRB infrastructure, will be responsible for the development of 20.06 km long extra lanes on highway from km. 96.040 (Pondavakkam) to km. 116. 100 (Kannigaipair).
The project is being awarded on hybrid annuity model. IRB won the bid citing project cost at INR9.09 billion (US$121.18 million). The concession period for the project is 15 years excluding the construction period of 730 days.
