The Government of India has awarded the Nangalbibra ─ Bongaigaoninter - state power transmission project to Sterlite Power.
The project elements consist of a new 220/132 kV substation at Nangalbibraand laying of ~130 km of 400kV D/c transmission line connecting Bongaigaon in Assam to Nangalbibra in Meghalaya across the river Brahmaputra. It will also have approximately 20 km of 132kV D/c line connecting Hatsinghmari in Assam to Ampati in Meghalaya.
The estimated investment value for the project is INR3.24 billion (US$43.19 million).
