The National Institute of Transforming India (NITI) has issued a Request for Qualification-cum-Request for Proposal (RFQ-P) for technical consultants for a ferry PPP project. The selected consultants will undertake a detailed techno-economic feasibility study of the implementation of Roll on & Roll off (Ro-Ro) vehicle ferry services to Havelock Island, Neil Island, Long Island, Ross Island, Smith Island and Aves Island, all part of the Andaman Islands archipelago in the Bay of Bengal.
The aim of the PPP project is to develop Inter-Island Connectivity within the archipelago, and is part of an initiative to promote and implement holistic development of islands in India.
Interested consultants will undergo a three-stage selection process, being obligated to submit a pre-qualification proposal, technical proposal and financial proposals. The deadline 14 September 2018. For more information, see the Business Opportunity.
