Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in New Delhi, India has launched a notice inviting bids for Dwarka international stadium PPP project.
The stadium will be situated on a 54 hectares site in the Dwarka sector of south Delhi. The scope of works includes the design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) of a cricket and football stadium with a capacity of 30,000 spectators and an indoor stadium for 2,000 spectators. The sports complex will have 4 badminton courts, 9 table tennis tables, a squash court, billiards and fitness center as well as swimming pool and multipurpose training hall.
The private partner will have the opportunity to develop commercial facilities such as hotel, mall and other retail spaces on 35% of the area in the complex. The commercial area will be leased to concessionaire for 99 years while the concession period for sports complex is 30 years. The estimated investment value of the project is INR3.5 billion (US$46.95 million).
