3i acquires 21.1% of GVK Energy for Rs1,200 crore.
Infrastructure major GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd has entered into an agreement with 3i India Infrastructure Fund to lead an investment of Rs1,200 crore for a 21.1% minority stake in GVK Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of GVK Power.
Infrastructure Development Finance Company Ltd., or IDFC, a private-sector enterprise floated by a consortium of public and private investors, reported higher net profit and revenue for the second quarter, both on consolidated and stand-alone bases.
Work on Dharwad-Goa Road begins finally. It's official now. The road between Dharwad and Ramnagar, that connects Karnataka to Goa and which has been in worse condition for decades, is being converted into double-lane highway by the government. On Sunday, public works minister C M Udasi performed bhoomi pooja for the road construction work at Alnavar in the presence RDPR minister Jagadish Shettar and MP Pralhad Joshi.US Exim Bank to set up $5-bn corpus.India to get a major financial boost from the US for development of infrastructure In a significant development, the US Exim Bank will set up a corpus of $5 billion to meet India's increasing requirement of finance for infrastructural development. An announcement in this regard is expected during the ongoing visit of US President Barack Obama.MPSEZL Only Bidder for Azhikkal Port Development Project.Mundra Port and SEZ Ltd (MPSEZL) has submitted a bid in response to the global tender inviting companies for the development of Azhikkal port in Kannur district in north Kerala on public-private partnership (PPP) basis. It is learnt that MPSEZL was the only company in the fray when the tender period closed on October 29.
