Inclusive Capital Partners has approached Countryside Properties with a takeover offer of GBP1.5 billion (US$1.88 billion). The company currently owns a 9% stake in Countryside Properties.
Countryside is a UK-based developer specializing in building communities with 60 years of experience and specialization in urban regeneration of public sector land, delivering private and affordable homes by partnering with local authorities and housing associations.
Countryside has reportedly shown no response in engaging in a transaction. However, according to the City merger and takeover code, Inclusive Capital can announce its intention to takeover until June 27, 2022.
