Impax Asset Management has launched the Impax Listed Infrastructure Fund – a UCITS-compliant fund to invest in listed infrastructure companies.

The fund is structured on impax's active sustainable infrastructure approach, which aims to produce long-term capital growth and income while attempting to mitigate the sustainability risks that predominate in the traditional infrastructure sector.

The investment focus will be in businesses that produce more than 20% of their basic revenue through facilitating societal advancement or facilitating access to essential resources. The Fund will make investments in a global portfolio of publicly traded infrastructure companies that fall into the two main categories of resource infrastructure and social & economic infrastructure as determined by the Impax Sustainable Infrastructure Taxonomy. These cover a wide range of sub-sectors, including transportation, communication services, healthcare, buildings/facilities, energy, water, and waste management. For comparison, the strategy makes use of the FTSE Global Infrastructure Opportunities Index and the MSCI ACWI.
