IFC has announced that is working with the Government of Kyrgyzstan to attract private sector investments for the Manas International Airport PPP project.
The aim is to improve operations and provide better services to airlines, passengers, and customers. The project will help promote the country's infrastructure development and drive economic recovery. Manas Airport was serving 2.2 million passengers before the COVID-19 pandemic.
IFC is advising the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan on structuring the public-private partnership (PPP) project to modernize and expand the airport. The selected private partner will be responsible for promoting best practices in the financing, operations, and management to help the airport operate to its full potential.
