The International Finance Corporation, a unit of the World Bank Group, has launched a tender to deliver technical consultancy services for the development, expansion, and refurbishment of the Dili Airport in Timor-Leste.

The selected firm will work with IFC to deliver an updated traffic forecast and to review the previous investment program to determine under what conditions the airport would now be viable for private sector participation. The Consultants scope of work will include:

  1. Reviewing the studies/reports prepared by the previous technical consultant which informed the preparation of the Master Plan and Investment Plan, as well as IFCs report to GOTL;
  2. Updating the traffic forecasts and revisiting the original recommendations based on this new information; and
  3. Capacity Building, which will include workshops on developing and implementing projects in the aviation sector through public-private partnership (PPP), and which will involve relevant government officials and other key stakeholders in TimorLeste who would have a role in implementing the Project, from the preliminary assessment, and through tender design and bid process, should the Project move to that stage.

The deadline for the submission of the documents is on May 15, 2019.
