International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) has been selected as the preferred bidder to operate and manage the South Port Container Terminal (SPCT) at Port Sudan, located on the Red Sea coast in north-east Sudan. ICTSI will assume the operational and development responsibility for SPC’s existing container terminal infrastructure and terminal handling equipment for 20 years.

ICTSI will now begin negotiating a concession agreement with the Sea Ports Corp. of Sudan (SPC). SPC reportedly also received bids from Bolloré and DP World. Hamburg Port Consulting advised the bidding process.
