Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) will shortlist the bidders from 10 bids received from interested parties for acquiring the 30% stake in Athens International Airport by January 2020. The shortlisted bidders will have until April 2020 to submit the binding bids for the stake.

The Greek government owns a 55% stake in the airport while AviAlliance GmbH, a Germany-based company owned by Canada’s pension investor PSP Investments, holds a 40% stake in the airport. The remaining stake is owned by Greece’s Copelouzos.

The winning bid will operate the airport under the public-private partnership (PPP) for 20 years until 2046.
