King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) in Saudi Arabia has launched the two expressions of interest (EOI) for the new tertiary hospital located to the north of Jeddah City.
One EOI is for the Supply, Installation, Equipping, Furnishing, Finance and Commissioning (including cyclical refreshes) of medical equipment and medical furniture combined with the design & fit out of select turnkey areas to be delivered through a Managed Equipment Services Public Private Partnership for KFSH’s new tertiary hospital located to the north of Jeddah City.
Second EOI is for the design, build, finance and operation of a staff accommodation. KFSH requires dedicated staff accommodation to be constructed and available so as to meet the operational needs of the new hospital. The Project envisages the provision of a high-end gated community development which will accommodate the hospital employees and those with families designated for on-campus living. The accommodation will include apartments, support services buildings and facilities such as sport clubs including swimming pools and gymnasiums, a grand mosque, a community club, supermarket, carparks and fully serviced apartments.
KFSH’s existing hospital in Jeddah is considered the main provider of tertiary specialist healthcare services across Jeddah, Mecca, Medina, Tabuouk, Taif, Aseer, Jazan, Najran and Qunfudah. To cope with rising regional healthcare demand, KFHS is currently constructing a state of the art 851 bed specialist hospital which is envisaged to become the Kingdom’s centre of excellence for tertiary healthcare delivery, academic teaching and support, combined with cutting edge research and development capability.
