Newly elected Waterford Fine Gael TD John Cummins has confirmed that the Higher Education PPP Bundle 2 which contains a major capital build at SETU’s Cork Road campus has been formally approved.
Bundle 2 aims to deliver five very significant capital projects across three universities, in five counties, namely SETU, TUS, and ATU. The projects range in size from 5,100 sq/m to 12,800 sq/m and encompass various disciplines including engineering, applied science, information technology, STEM learning, and library services. Two projects are planned for SETU, a 6,100 sq/m Science facility at SETU Carlow and a 12,800 sq/m Engineering, computing, and General Teaching building at SETU Waterford.
12,800 sq/m Engineering, Computing & General Teaching building at SETU Cork Road Campus is the largest project in the Bundle.
