Following a well-attended industry forum and site visit last month, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced another site visit for the Chalfont Mitigation Banking Project.
The project involves the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of a mitigation bank site spanning up to 140 acres near Chalfont, Pennsylvania, located in the north-east USA. PennDOT launched a Request for Qualifications in November, with responses due in February.
The industry forum was attended by representatives of 27 organisations, including technical consultants HNTB, Louis Berger and Stantec, as well as the North American Land Trust and Mitigation Resources of North America, a subsidiary of North American Coal.
