H.I.G. Capital (H.I.G.) has signed a definitive agreement to sell its portfolio company Acqua & Sapone to funds managed by TDR Capital LLP (TDR).
Acqua & Sapone generates over EUR 1.1 billion (US$ 1.17 billion) in annual revenues and is Italy’s leading non-food discount retailer, selling a wide range of household and personal care products at value prices through a network of over 700 retail locations. Since its founding in 1993, H.I.G. has invested in and managed more than 400 companies worldwide. The Firm's current portfolio includes more than 100 companies with combined sales of over US$53 billion.
TDR Capital LLP is a European private equity firm with over EUR 15 billion in assets under management. Founded in 2002, TDR typically acquires majority stakes in strong, market-leading European companies with the potential for robust growth and resilience throughout economic cycles. The firm has managed five European mid-market buyout funds.
