A team led by Danish consultants Henning Larsen and Ramboll will masterplan the street level of Singapore’s 22km North-South Corridor.
The project, which will remodel a congested transport route, will contain four sections:
Neighborhoods will be connected to the corridor via green spaces, existing parks and cycling and walking paths. A public square will be located along Rochor Road, at an intersection of three neighborhoods: Little India, Kampong Gelam and Albert Street. These connections will be made accessible through the offering of dedicated pathways for pedestrians, cyclists, riders and public buses.
The Danish firms are working with Camphora, Cistri, Gehl and Participate in Design on the masterplan, which is due to be completed in 2026.
