Helios Investment Partners have entered into the agreements to acquire a majority stake in Maroc data center (MDC) and IXAfrica data centre for an undisclosed sum. Both transactions are subject to customary closing conditions.
Helios has invested US$50 million in IXAfrica, whereas the terms of the MDC deal are not disclosed yet, but Both transactions are subject to customary closing conditions. MDC and IXAfrica are well-positioned to play pivotal roles in the digital transformations of Morocco and Kenya, respectively, and will be benefited from Helios’ expertise building world-class, fast-growing, high impact, multi-country, platforms in Africa.
MDC operates a single 2,000 sqm (21,500 sq ft) facility in the Rabat metro area of Morocco. The company is specialized in the construction and operation of neutral datacenters.
