The government of Ontario with Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has announced the cancellation of the procurement for the Hamilton LRT project. The bidding teams will receive a stipend according to their involvement in the procurement process. IO and Metrolinx will be meeting with teams in the coming days to discuss the next steps.
The Hamilton light rail transit project included design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of an 11-kilometre long LRT system in Hamilton, in the province of Ontario.
