The Government of Guyana (GoG) has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from local and foreign parties interested in being a partner in the design, construction and financing of the New Demerara River Bridge (NDRB).
According to the notice, the project will be implemented using a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model.
Although three possible sites have been proposed in the Pre-Feasibility Study for the new bridge, final decision is still pending. A study is being conducted which looks at all the different types of bridges that could be constructed, but government is looking to build a fixed structure.
A pre-feasibility study for the construction of the NDRB has been completed and can be accessed from the Ministry of Public Works website. The URL for the Ministry’s website is www.wsg.gov.gy,
