The City of Guarapuava in Parana has signed a BRL131 million (US$32.24 million) contract for the delivery of the city lighting project under the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme.
The concession involves the replacement of all of the 23,000 light bulbs used in public lighting by LED luminaires within two years after the signing of the deal and the delivery of maintenance service for 20 years.
The winning bid is set to roll out its service by early January 2020. The contract also includes the installation of 120 surveillance cameras.
