Green Light for multimillion Campus development PPP Project in UK

The University of Bristol has been given the green light to begin construction of the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus in the UK.

The university campus is an integral component of the Bristol Temple Quarter regeneration project. In addition to constructing the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, the project entails the development of 900 capacity student accommodation blocks and a new entrance for Temple Meads station. The new station entrance will provide direct access to the campus, enhancing accessibility for passengers. The upcoming 'Enterprise Campus' is situated on the grounds of the former Royal Mail sorting office and will feature a 38,000 sqm building. This structure will house the Business School, digital engineering research groups, a Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Quantum Technologies Innovation Centre. With a capacity to accommodate 4,600 students and 650 university staff, the campus will not only serve the university community but also provide access to its facilities and open spaces for the general public.

In collaboration with Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, construction firm Sir Robert McAlpine, Buro Happold was enlisted to deliver a range of multi-disciplinary engineering services. These services encompassed acoustics, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), inclusive design, and structural engineering.
