The Ministry of Transport of Colombia has approved the feasibility of the Private Initiative (IP) project of the Rafael Núñez airport in Cartagena, Bolivar, Colombia.
The project involves the financing, construction, operation, maintenance and transfer of the Rafael Núñez Airport in Cartagena. The new international terminal will have 17,360 sq m, the main platform will be expanded to 99,770 sq m and the remodeling of the current terminal for a total of 25,144 m. The project is expected to generate more than 13,741 direct, indirect and induced jobs locally. This project estimates a pre-construction stage of 1 year and a construction stage of 2.5 years. The concession period is estimated at 8.5 years.
