The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced the issuance of tender for the Courthouses of Central Greece under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, with a budget of EUR48.32 million (US$50.2 million).
The project involves the construction of two new Courthouses in Lamia and Volos, the construction of a new wing at the Courthouse in Karditsa and the reconstruction of the Courthouse in Trikala. The buildings will be bioclimatic and will respond to modern socio-economic needs, creating an upgraded environment, where all court material will be gathered. The project also includes the reconstruction of the Trikala Courthouse, which involves the functional and energetic upgrade of the building. The partnership agreement covers a period of 30 years, of which 3 years are estimated to be for the construction period and the next 27 years for the operation and maintenance period.
