The Government of Vietnam has launched a 23.83-km road in Hung Yen province, which connects the Hanoi-Hai Phong and Cau Gie-Ninh Binh expressways.
The road, constructed at a total cost of over VND 1.77 trillion (USD 69.63 million), begins at the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway in Yen My district and extends to Hung Yen city, connecting with a road that crosses Ha Nam province before linking with the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh expressway. It allows vehicles to travel at a speed of 80 km/hr, aiming to enhance the utilization of the two expressways and alleviate transportation pressure on Hanoi.
In addition to the main road, side roads are being built with a total investment of over VND 1.41 billion (US$55,447.1), scheduled for completion in September 2024. Construction has also started on the Tan Phuc-Vong Phan road, which will span 29.2 km and has a total investment of over VND 2.98 trillion (US$ 117 million) from the local budget. This road, crossing 14 communes, is expected to be completed in 720 days.
