The Government of Piaui, Brazil has awarded the PPP contract for the concession of Parnaiba Airport to the winning bidder SBPB Consortium. The team is formed by Cedarwood Investimentos SA (CWI) and TR Saeculum Participações LTDA.
The concessionaire will be responsible for the administration, conservation, implementation of improvements, operation and maintenance of the Parnaiba airport for 32 years. The project aims to expand cargo transport capacity with a new terminal, create international routes, increase tourist movement and employment in the city. The estimated investment in the project is BRL150 million (US$29 million).
