Government of Brazil to auction 5 port terminals

Council of the Investment Partnership Program of the Presidency of the Republic in Brazil has announced to auction five port terminal projects. 

The authority decided to auction the port projects considering the need to expand investment and employment opportunities in the country and to stimulate national economic development, especially through actions focused on expanding and improving infrastructure and logistics, among others.

The 5 port projects to be auctioned are as follows :

  • MAC10 Terminal for handling and storage of liquid bulk, located in the Port of Maceió, State of Alagoas
  • Terminal MCP02 for handling and storage of solid vegetable bulk, located in the Port of Santana
  • Terminal PAR50 for handling, storage and distribution of liquid bulk, located in the Port of Paranaguá, State of Paraná
  • Terminal VDC10 for handling and storage of liquid bulk, alumina and hydrate, located in the Port of Vila do Conde, State of Pará
  • Terminal ATU18 for handling and storage of solid vegetable bulk, located in the Port of Aratu, State of Bahia

The contract notice publication is for terminals MAC 10, MCP 02 and ATU18 is expected to take place in the 3rd quarter of 2020. Contract notice for remaining terminals is expected to take place in the 4th quarter of 2020.
