The Urban Community of Bordeaux has launched the concession tender for its water sports stadium project in Mérignac. The interested firm will finance, design, construct, maintain, and operate the project with an estimated total value of EUR115.5 million (US$131.04 million).
The facility will have immovable equipment with minimum requirements: a sports pool (50 m / 10 lanes), a learning and activity pool (150 m 2 ), Nordic basin (25/8 lanes), terraces (750 fixed places), premises allocated to clubs (offices, meeting rooms, etc.), parking (200 places).
Also, the project includes the following unchanging equipment with free sizing: a fun pool, various recreational facilities (toboggan, paddling pool), a well-being and fitness area, a restaurant.
The interested party will also study a scenario for integrating a diving pool. The metropolitan nautical stadium project in Mérignac is jointly sponsored by Bordeaux Métropole and the municipality of Mérignac in a consortium of licensing authorities, of which Bordeaux Métropole is the coordinator.
The tender will end on December 21, 2018.
