Ministry of Infrastructure in Brazil has announced that the government will accept the Inframerica's request to return the Natal airport concession.
Natal Airport was the first airport in Brazil transferred to the private sector, in 2011, and the first federal airport to be built from scratch by the private partners. The concessionaire began operations in May 2014. The concession had a term of 28 years. However, earlier this month Inframerica has requested the Federal Government to return the concession.
The process of change of the management will be smooth for those arriving or leaving Rio Grande do Norte through the terminal. The government of Rio Grande do Norte and the ministry of Infrastructure will act together to facilitate the new concession process.
