Goldbeck has signed a contract to construct the new town hall PPP project in Neustadt am Rübenberge, Germany. The total investment of the project is EUR43 million (US$51.3 million). In addition, the construction company will be responsible for the maintenance and value retention of the building for the next 30 years.
Construction of the 14,600 sqm town hall will start in November 2021. Goldbeck is expected to build the town hall within two years. The administration will move into the building at the beginning of 2024.
The new town hall will have cultural special areas, administrative areas and retail trade areas. Moreover, there will be a heating center that can be expanded into the local heating network and supply surrounding buildings. The underground car park will have 85 public parking spaces (12 with e-charging facilities), 50 bicycle parking spaces for administration (15 with charging facilities for e-bikes) and 50 public bicycle spaces (4 with charging facilities for e-bikes).
