The Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) has successfully shortlisted six companies from an initial 45 bidders for the Eastern Railway Line project in Accra, Ghana.
The railway authority was assisted by the transaction advisers, PwC, in determining the final list of bidders for the project considering the financial and technical capabilities of the companies.
The proposals of the six shortlisted companies have been sent to a tender review committee for further evaluation. Once the proposals are approved, the comittee will select the preferred contractor for the project.
The selected private partner will finance, develop, (re)construct, operate and maintain 330km of delapidated railway linking Accra to Kumasi, Achimota and Tema Port.
