The Government of Hesse, a state in central Germany, has published a prior information notice for the development of laboratories for Hessiches Landeslabor (LHL), an entity of the Hessian state office for nature protection, environment and geology (HLNUG).
The facilities are to be developed on two land plots in Kassel, spanning 4,740 m2 and 5,645 m2.
The laboratories will be used for a wide range of disciplines, such as animal health, food testing, agriculture, environment, water, pollution control Radiation protection and much more. It is estimated that around 151 laboratory workstations, 109 office workplaces, and 87 evaluation workstations, 116 car parking spaces (service vehicles, measuring vehicles, other cars) and at least 40 bicycle parking spaces are to be created in two construction phases.
The construction phase of the project is expected to commence in 2021 with the target completion by 2022.
