Mauritania's Directorate of Road Transport Infrastructures has issued a general procurement notice for the 80km Atar-Chinguity road construction project.
This project aims to enhance transport efficiency and safety between Atar and Chinguetti, while also improving access to socio-economic services for the local populations. The project has the following components:
The Attar – Chinguetti asphalt road will be 80km long and will include 2 lanes with a width of 6m and 2 shoulders of 1.5m each.
This involves the purchase of machinery intended for road maintenance of the road and to support the construction process which includes 2 Loaders, 1 Grader, 2 Dump Trucks, and 1 Tracked Excavator /Rock Breaker.
The Islamic Development Bank is funding the project.
