GapSat Development Group Limited (GapSat) has acquired QBX Limited, an Isle of Man-based satellite solutions and consulting services company with a portfolio of satellite radio frequency spectrum and intellectual property.

After the acquisition of QBX, GapSat received applications for orbital slots and patents to develop a global constellation of geostationary satellites. The purchase also includes a patent for new techniques to improve in-flight safety and communications for geostationary aero-mobility services and a suite of three ITU geostationary satellite slot filings. The acquisition opened up the opportunity to develop key mid-ocean orbital resources to meet the needs of maritime and air mobility around the world.

GH Partners LLC acted as an investment banking advisory firm for GapSat and RPC Telecommunications Ltd. acted as a satellite regulatory engineering consultant. QBX is advised by ManSat Limited, the satellite spectrum solutions and related consulting services provider.
