The consortium Yuma SA has secured a loan of COP400 billion (US$109.28 million), 16 months after signing the contract with the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) and the Colombian Ministry of Transportation.
The loan was provided by the Italian banks Intesa Sanpaolo SPA and Banca Popolare di Sondrio FPA and guarantees the completion of construction works and financial consolidation.
Ruta del Sol 3 PPP project is part of the third generation (3G) projects of the National Government of Colombia and has an approximate extension of 465 kilometers. Overall, the project has created over 5,000 jobs in Bolívar, Cesar and Magdalena. Construction is expected to be completed by January 2025, which will allow the project to enter the operation and maintenance stage.
