Network operator and broadband ISP Grain (Grain Connect) has announced that they’ve launched their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network using Point-to-Point (PTP) architecture in the East Yorkshire, city of Hull, UK.
The planned deployment of full fiber infrastructure will encompass more than 50 locations, including 150 new build housing developments. These locations span urban areas such as Leicester, Liverpool, Accrington, Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Scarborough, Carlisle, Barrow-in-Furness, Hartlepool, Newport, Sunderland, and Blackburn. The first phase of this rollout will target approximately 400,000 premises, aiming to provide them with high-speed connectivity through full fiber technology.
Upon activation, regular service customers typically subscribe to a symmetric 100Mbps package on a 12-month term, priced at GBP25.99/month (currently discounted to GBP19.99). Alternatively, they can opt for the top-tier 900Mbps plan at GBP49.99 (discounted to GBP34.99). All packages offer unlimited usage, complimentary installation, a router, and a commitment to maintaining consistent prices throughout the contract duration.
