The Department of Yonne, located in northwestern France, has launched a tender for the financing, construction, maintenance and operation of optical local loops that will connect customer premises to telecommunications service providers' networks. This will facilitate the delivery of ultra high speed broadband in the region.
The total estimated value of the concession is EUR850 million (US$974.2 million) and the concession period is 30 years.
