The Government of France has awarded a 20-year concession contract to the consortium led by Axione for delivering the Eurasian High-speed Fiber Optic Broadband Network Project (FTTH) in Normandy.
The EUR230.6 million (US$261.1 million) project will be realized by the consortium Eure Normandie THD represented by Axione in partnership with Bouygues Energies & Services, FIDEPPP 2 and Mirova SP5, and joined by the Banque des Territoires.
The tender for the project was launched in July 2018. After several months of proceedings, at the beginning of April, the consortium lead by Axione was chosen for the quality of its technical, commercial and financial offer.
The project is expected to be completed by 2021 and the residents, businesses and communities will have universal access to FTTH (fiber to the home).
