Ecuador's Ministry of Energy and Non-renewable Natural Resources has shortlisted four bidding teams for its Nororiental transmission system concession. Under the concession, the private partner will be responsible for the design, finance, build, and operation (DBFO) of 290 kilometers of power lines, three transmission sub-systems, and six new substations for the concession period of 30 years.

These four teams will now participate further in the procurement process. The authority plans to award the concession on January 23, 2023.
