Four consortia shortlisted for the biomass plant project in Hanover

The Dartmouth college in the US state of New Hampshire has shortlisted four consortia for Biomass energy PPP project of Dartmouth College in Hanover. The four bidding consortia are:

  • Blackstone, Affiliated Engineers, Whiting-Turner, and NAES;
  • Engie, Meridiam, Frank Lill & Sons, RMF Engineering, EDR, and B-G Mechanical Services;
  • Enwave, Brookfield, Kiewit, and Ramboll;
  • John Laing, Acciona, ABM, Jacobs Engineering, BVH Integrated Services and Leers Weinzapfel Associates.

The scope of the project entails a new biomass power plant and hot water heating system of the Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. The new project involves a transition on its steam heating system to a more efficient hot water loop system. The biomass plant would be powered by low-grade residue from logging and sustainable forestry operations.
