The Puerto Rico Public Private Partnership (P3) Authority has announced the selection of four proponents to proceed to the next phase of the tender for the management and operation of the electricity distribution and transmission system of the Puerto Rico Energy Power Authority (PREPA).
The qualified proponents are (1) Duke Energy Corporation, (2) Exelon Corporation, (3) PSEG Services Corporation and (4) a consortium composed of the following three entities: ATCO Ltd (“Atco”), IEM and Quanta Services, Inc. (collectively, the Quanta Consortium).
The P3 Authority will now send a Request for Proposals (RFP) to the selected proponents. It is expected that the selection of the proponent of the project will take place during the third quarter of 2019.
