The Millennium Fund II (FOMILENIO II) and the Pacific Corridor People's Union consortium (UDP Pacific Corridor) signed the contract this day to carry out a technical and economic pre-feasibility study for a possible Public Private Partnership (APP) project between La Hachadura Border Crossing and CA12 Road (Kilo 5).
The investment for the pre-feasibility study will amount to US$ 1.5 million. The PPP project would involve the financing, construction, and maintenance of a new 43-kilometer road section.
FOMILENIO II, together with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will continue to support studies and structuring projects that will allow the country to take advantage of this innovative financing instrument.
As part of the consultancy, the UDP Corredor Pacífico will provide support to the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development in the determination of the pre-feasibility and later feasibility of implementing this project under the PPP model. The consultancy for the pre-feasibility study has a duration of 330 days with an optional extension period of 180 days.
UDP Corredor Pacífico is a consortium formed by the firm Ernst & Young and INCOSA.
