VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority of San Antonio has selected a joint venture between Colorado contractor Flatiron and Missouri infrastructure specialist Herzog to build a 19 km, US$446 million bus route in Texas, USA.
The ART initiative will introduce the 12-mile Green Line, offering a sustainable north-south mobility option through central San Antonio, Texas. This project is a key element of VIA's Keep San Antonio Moving program. The Flatiron-Herzog joint venture, working with VIA Metropolitan Transit under a Construction Manager at Risk agreement, will implement significant sustainable mobility enhancements:
This project will add 26 bus stops, dedicated bus lanes and improved connectivity to the city’s airport and downtown. Construction is due to begin in early 2025.
