The Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL) has announced that Five firms have bid for Chennai Metro Line-5’s electrical & mechanical (E&M), fire protection, ventilation, and air-conditioning contract in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The elevated section of Chennai Metro's Phase 2 project, spanning 44.6 km and connecting Madhavaram Milk Colony to Sholinganallur in a north-south direction, includes system works at 10 elevated stations, 6 underground stations, tunnels between Kolathur and Nathamuni stations, and a viaduct between Madhavaram Milk Colony and Grain Marker (Koyambedu Market) stations. Tata Projects is handling the underground section (Package UG-06), while Larsen & Toubro is overseeing the elevated section (Package C5-EV-03). The contract entails supplying, installing, testing, commissioning, and providing training for electrical, plumbing, fire protection, VAC works, and BMS system from Madhavaram Milk Colony Station to Grain Market Station for Corridor-5 of the Chennai Metro Rail Project, Phase-II.
