The Bulgarian Transport Ministry has received five bids in the concession tender launched for the Sofia Airport located in the country's capital.
The five bidders listed by the ministry are following Airport operators from Britain, Germany, France, and Denmark:
The tender requires the participating consortia to state which company would act as an airport operator.
The Manchester Airports Group operates the Manchester, East Midlands, and London Stansted airports. Fraport operates the Varna and Bourgas airports at the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. TAV Havalimanlari Holding holds the concession deal in several airports in Turkey, including the Istanbul Ataturk Airport, but also airports in Croatia and North Macedonia.
The assessment committee will open the bids on May 9.
