Water Utility Corporation in Botswana has shortlisted five bidders for its Glen Valley Wastewater Treatment up-gradation PPP in Gaborone.
The project involves the redevelopment of a current wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and the construction of new reclamation plant and a transfer pipeline. The new WWTP will have a capacity of up to 90 ML/d, while the reclamation plant will be developed in two stages with the maximum capacity of 50 ML/d.
The project will be procured under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Maintenance (DBFOM) model, and its total investment is estimated at US$100 million.
