Cabreúva Municipality, in Sao Paulo (Brazil), has qualified five bidders for an urban cleaning and solid waste concession contract.
The shortlisted bidders are the following:
The 30-year concession contract has a value of approximately R$324 million (US$91 million).
The concession includes: collecting municipal solid waste, urban cleaning, operation and maintenance of ecopoints, and treatment and disposal of waste.
Additionally, the preferred bidder will be responsible for the upgrade and expansion of the municipality's landfill.
Cabreúva has a population of 41,000 inhabitants and its current net revenue is approximately R$142 million (US$40 million). It has an area of 261 km², of which 96 km² are urban and 165 km² are rural.
