The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has received the first payment of INR 65 billion (US$ 872.13 million) from the SPV IRB MP Expressway Pvt Ltd. The SPV is managed by IRB infrastructure developers. The SPV was responsible for the operation and maintenance of toll road for 15 years until August 2019. After which the IRB infra won the contract to operate the toll road again for 10 years and 2 months at an investment of INR 82.62 billion (US$ 1.10 billion).
The concessionaire has completed the up-front amount transaction of INR 65 billion (US$ 872.13 million), the remaining payment will be made in year 2, 3 and 4 with installment amounting to INR 8.5 billion (US$ 114 million), INR 8.5 billion (US$ 114 million) and INR 620 million (US$ 8.31 million) consecutively.
