First Gen Corp is seeking approval from the Philippines' Department of Energy for the extension of a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) for its LNG terminal in Batangas, Philippines.
First Gen, responsible for LNG import terminal at Batangas, has already received approval from the Philippines' Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for the power supply deal of Batangas power utility.
Under the design, development, testing, commissioning, construction, ownership, operation and maintenance concession, First Gen is developing an interim offshore liquified natural gas (LNG) import terminal at Batangas featuring an FSRU with a storage capacity of between 125,000 and 170,000 m3. Once operational, the plant will have the capability to turn LNG back into gas and supply it directly into the gas network.
